Zell am See
Zell's slopes have a lot of variety and challenging terrain for a small area. Perhaps not enough to keep a keen intermediate or better happy for long but it's the ideal spot for a strong beginner / intermediate skier. Zell is very near the Kaprun glacier so for skiers who don't mind traveling around a bit having a car makes it easy to visit numerous other resorts - including Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Bad Gastein-Bad Hofgastein, Wagrain, Schladming and Obertauern.
